Harlequin romance novel author Charlotte Hughes, writer of 2 Maggie Award winning books, has signed on with the Harlequin Sillhouette Desire line. She has 3 books out in 2002. One HOT SHOT,with MIRA is due in September. Her first book with the Desire line, MILLIONAIRE COP AND THE MOTHER-TO-BE, has a tenatative release date of July 2002. She is also writing a new series with Janet Evanovich.

Charlotte made her initial impression with a series of books for Bantam Loveswept. More than 30 bestselling novels later, Charlotte now has established herself as one of the top Romantic Supense writers, and- with her novels for Mira-- also as a bestselling mainstream comedy writer. She is currently working on the Full House series with her co-author Janet Evanovich at St. Martin's Press. Charlotte and Ms. Evanovich have been friends for many years.

Afraid she will lose him in the line of duty, the heroine does her best not to fall in love.
